1. What Pioneers is.
Pioneers is a limited, funded pilot run by MiraiKibo Inc. People admitted to it get the tools of Kaizen's Plus plan at no charge while they help us improve Kaizen with their comments. It is not a paid subscription, and a place is never paid for. It is not a job or a service contract: you choose whether, when and what to comment, and no comment is judged.
2. Who can join.
Kaizen is for people 18 or older: if you tell us you are under 18, sign-up stops and we delete what you entered. You must also be of legal age where you live. One place per person and per email address. You join in one of three ways: with an invitation code from us, with someone's Gold link (clause 11), or through our interview, which is open to people in the United States and Colombia in English and Spanish. Through the interview, and with a code or a Gold link in English or Spanish, you create an account, answer the interview and save your first route; your place starts when all three are done, and its first 14 days run from that moment. In other languages, a code or a Gold link starts your place, and its first 14 days, as soon as you use it with your account. We email you a confirmation link, but your access never depends on it. Pioneers has at most 99 places in its whole life: a place that ends, for any reason, is not given to anyone new, and whoever held one can still come back under these terms. If no place is available, you join the waiting list; once all 99 have been taken, new people can't join or enter the waiting list, and the app says so. When a place opens for you, we tell you in Kaizen and you have 3 days to take it, or you keep your spot in the list. The list goes in this order: our personal invitations, people coming back within 30 days, people arriving through a Gold link, then everyone else by arrival. On iPhone you can't join or enter a code in the app: you join on the web, and the iPhone app shows your place. Beyond that limit, we don't publish how many people are in the pilot.
3. What you get.
While your place is active you have what Kaizen's Plus plan includes on the day your place starts, and, as an extra of this pilot, connecting your bank where a provider is live. That includes reading your statements and purchases from your Gmail if you connect it and Google's capacity allows. Before you can connect Gmail, you give us the Google address you'll connect and we add it to the list Google keeps for our app; we tell you in the app when you can connect. Google lets our app connect a limited number of accounts, part of them kept for Pioneers, so connecting Gmail may not be available. If we remove a Plus feature during your place, we tell you in the app and by email at least 30 days before, and you can leave. Limits that apply to everyone, for example on bank connections, also apply to you. You can't give your place to anyone or get money for it.
4. Kibo's AI help and your credits.
Kibo's AI help has a monthly limit set for Pioneers, in credits, that depends on your level: 500 credits in your first month, then 250 a month, or 500 from the month after you reach Gold. Your month starts on the day your place started. The pilot's AI is funded with USD 100 in total, with no automatic refill. When your credits for the month are used, or the pilot's funding can't cover your month, Kibo's sponsored help and automatic reading wait until your next month and until the pilot can fund it, which is not guaranteed. Even then, you can keep sending comments, and they keep your place. While your place is active, Kibo uses only your Pioneers credits: your other credits (starter, bonus or Extra) wait until the place ends, and you can't start a trial. Extra is not sold while your place is active. Credits have no cash value: you can't cash them out, sell them or give them away.
5. What counts as a comment.
A comment is something you point at on a screen and tell us about, or a problem you report, from Kibo's chat or straight to our team with «Report a problem», without going through Kibo. Any comment you make yourself counts, and we don't judge it. Comments sent by a script, or made only to keep a place, don't count. Ordinary chat messages and WhatsApp messages don't count either.
6. How long your place lasts.
Your place lasts 14 days from when it starts. Each comment moves the end to 14 days after we receive it; days don't add up. Your profile shows the exact date and time. We remind you in the app 3 days before and on the last day, and by email only if you choose it. If your place runs out, within 30 days one comment brings it back if a place is available, or gives you priority on the waiting list. If you leave on purpose, comments don't bring you back: within 30 days, «Rejoin» gives you back the days you had left, if there is room. After 30 days you can ask once to come back. You can leave whenever you want, in your profile.
7. Your comments, your interview and your data.
A comment carries your words, the screen and element you pointed at, and a screenshot in which every number is hidden; other text on the screen can show. We remove recognized emails and amounts, but we can't guarantee every name is removed. Your comments are kept with your account; a copy without your account id goes to our issue tracker (GitHub), and people on our team read them. With AI on, an AI assistant (Anthropic's Claude) helps sort them; with AI off, it does so only if you turn on «Let our AI help sort this» when you send one, as the Privacy Policy explains. Deleting your account deletes your comments in Kaizen; the issue-tracker copy is handled as the Privacy Policy says. Your interview answers are used to check you can join, prepare your first route, write your welcome and, without your name, learn who Kaizen helps. Only age and country are required; gender and answers in your own words are optional and you can skip them. We keep your answers 12 months at most, and you can delete them sooner with «Delete my answers» in your profile. You keep your rights in your comments. You give MiraiKibo Inc. a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence, for as long as copyright lasts, to reproduce, adapt, translate and use them inside the company to improve Kaizen and our other products, and to quote them without your name in product notes. We don't publish them as your opinion or use them in advertising without asking you first. Your moral rights stay with you.
8. When your place ends.
When your place ends, everything in your account stays, including movements already imported from your bank. Bank syncing stops; you can reconnect from a plan that includes bank connections. What only Plus has, such as reading your Gmail, stops until you have a plan or trial that includes it.
9. If you pay for a plan.
If your first payment for Plus or Pro goes through, your place ends for good and your plan's own credits apply. A place ended this way does not come back with a comment, «Rejoin» or a request, even if you cancel or get a refund. Starting checkout, or a payment that fails or is still pending, does not end your place.
10. Sharing how you use the app (optional).
When you join, or later in your profile, you can let us record how you use Kaizen, linked to your account, to improve it. Texts and fields are masked. Turning this switch on or off also answers the cookie notice on the device where you do it. On a device where you accepted the cookie notice, sharing is on even if this switch shows off; to stop it there, turn the switch off on that device or reject in the cookie notice. Some counts, such as a plan bought or a step completed, are always kept with your account, as the Privacy Policy explains. Saying no never affects your place.
11. Gold.
You reach Gold by earning 6 points from the missions shown in the app, including at least one hard mission. Each mission shows its points; missions can change, and points you earned stay. Gold gives you a larger monthly AI limit from the next month (clause 4) and your own link, which up to 3 people can use to hold a place at the same time; a spot frees up when one of them leaves. Your link works while your place is active. Sharing your Gold link is allowed; a personal code from us is for one person only. If you post about Kaizen or share your link, say that you get Plus free as a Pioneer, for example «I use Kaizen free as a Pioneer». We never ask for a positive review and never reward app-store ratings.
12. Confirmed-bug bonus.
If you are the first to report a bug that our team can reproduce, meaning something in Kaizen that doesn't work as the app or its help says, you receive 50 bonus credits, or 150 if the bug blocks a task or affects someone's data, up to 300 a month per person. Bonuses come from a company budget of USD 30 a month; when a month's budget is used, a confirmed bonus arrives the next month. We decide within 30 days and tell you why; if you disagree, reply to the notice and a person looks at it again. Questions, suggestions and reports made after a fix is out don't earn a bonus. While your place is active, your bonus credits wait until it ends (clause 4). Apart from these credits, which are not money, we don't pay for comments.
13. Changes, and the move to the monthly AI limit.
We tell you in the app and by email at least 30 days before a change to these terms applies. If a change reduces what you get and you don't accept it, your place ends and you move to the free plan. If you joined before 22 October 2026, Kibo's help stays without a monthly limit until the date in your notice, which is 14 days after we send it; from that date the limits in clause 4 apply. Accept this version in the app before that date to keep your place; if you don't, your place moves to the free plan on that date and you have 30 days to accept and come back.
14. Ending the pilot or a place.
We can end the pilot for everyone by telling you in the app and by email at least 14 days before; the access you already have runs to the end of your current 14 days. We end your place early only if you use a personal code that wasn't given to you, hold places on more than one account, break the Terms of Use or misuse the reward rules. Then we tell you why, and you can answer within 5 days. If we end extra places held by one person, we also end that person's Gold link.
